How we have been raised and societal/cultural norms have taught us to take everything that is given to us. Good or bad. We are expected to always be kind. Always be courteous. Don’t get angry, depressed, overwhelmed, etc. We’ve swallowed so much emotion, words, thoughts that it’s stuck in our throats and suffocating us.
